Hello all! I just received a pot each of rosemary and basil... any suggestions on how to keep them growing and where I should place them? The last herbs I had didn't live... and I am usually good at keeping plants.

Basil is an annual and prefers full sun and can handle some partial shade. To extend its growing season pinch of the flowers that form later in the season.

Rosemary is a perennial in my area although I am not sure how it would do in your zone. The biggest mistake with rosemary is overwatering. They can handle full sun to partial shade.

Julie, thanks for the info... I have another question though, if some of the leaves at the bottom of the plant start to yellow, is it still okay to use them? Or should I just pull them off and throw them out?
