Ok I have harvested the first crop of fruits and veggies here at HomeGrown Farm. I lost most of my regular shops and customers when we moved this last year (it's just to far to deliver to them to be cost effective) so I thought I would try the online selling this time around, and have seen that most of my sisters sell on Esty so I set up an account and after a long day of canning and cooking have listed a few items. Still have more to list so check back weekly and as the crops are harvested there will be more to add.

Looks great, Melanie, maybe I could come down there and pick some things up. Do you entertain buyers? I coulddrive down there and pick up a multi product order.

Are you just using less sugar or are there artificial sweetners involved. I do not like artificial sweetners and would rather learn to like things less sweet.

LaVonna,

I would be happy if you would like to come visit. I can also offer you delivery because I travel to Decatur on average twice a month to see my brother. That would save you on shipping charges :)

As for the sugar, I actually use less real sugar, I am diabetic and tried a couple of years ago to use splenda to make jelly, just for myself and It did not set up right, so since then I have experimented with reducing the amount of sugar in the jams and jelly until I reached a point where they either did not taste right or did not set up right. I then increase back to the previously tested amount and that is what I have stuck with. Some of them, like the jalapeno jelly require more sugar to set right than the strawberry jams do. If you have any more questions please feel free to email me.

Looks fabulous.
Have you checked out Foodzie?
I think your goodies would be real popular there, too

Melanie,
I placed an order and emailed you. My family loves jams and I only buy them organic. I'll be a regular customer.

Thank you to everyone for your support. I unfortunately have had to close the shop for awhile. I have had a sudden death in the family that has hit me and my children very hard and right now I need to concentrate on them and keeping our farm going. I have a few orders that were placed during an unfortunate time in my life. for those of you that placed these orders I can either ship them out to you next week or I can refund your money. Please email me and let me know.

Melaine,
I emailed you. When you can put my order on your etsy, I'll pay for it then. NO rush!
