what to do with those old bras . Up cycle them

make them into drawer scenters
just cut the sides off and stuff cups
with batting and lavender buds, dried rose petals or cedar chips

Add a few drops of essential oil to refresh.
Like lavender (or any of your favorite scents)

You can also use for your closets, drawers, luggage,
Stinky boots or sneakers

sew together.

if you leave the
straps on you can hang them
inside the closet or with your jackets
and coats for the winter..

If you cut off the elastic straps you can use that for making your covid masks. Who knew.. But last year when I couldn't get any masks and had to make m own but couldn't find elastic so this worked great.

You can also make them into Pin cushions
Just stuff with cotton batting scraps

Waste not..lol

Refresher spray
pure essential lavender oil or your favorite scent
Fill the bottle with 4 fluid ounces of purified water. If you would like to make a larger batch, simply increase the proportions, such as doubling or tripling the amounts. The mist spray will last.
Add 40 drops of the lavender essential oil to the half alcohol and half water. Cap the bottle and shake well to mix ingredients

Or if they are big enough you could sew the two cups together around the edge partway and put your clothespins in 'em, they have the straps for hanging! jk/lol

Deb,
I like the idea of using them for the closets or drawers. I have a big bag of lavender buds left from my daughters wedding and they would work great. I always usually throw the old bras out because I wouldn't give something like that to the thrift so this seems a very good use. Not like anyone else would see them in the closet or drawers either. So our unmentionables stay that way.

How long does the scent stay? do you have to rip them open again to redo them,
or do you just slip stitch so it will open again?

I threw one out right before this thread was started ,
so I'll have to wait a bit to do this but I have everything else to use.

I'm with Jeannie . . old serving old. However, the REALLY OLD bras got SOOOOOOOOOO worn out they aren't fit for anything!! They certainly wouldn't hold clothespins!!
However, these are great ideas!!

Bras and me . . . a love/hate relationship!!

the scent lasts awhile if you crush the lavender
the scent coming back or you can spritz it with your favorite scent
if it loses the scent i make my own lavender mist for refreshing
the house and i use it for ironing so you can do that too.

Chuckle chuckle. CJ, no clothes pins for mine either:(. Love/hate bras too!!

What a great idea, I have a hard time throwing bras out for some reason. I just push them to the back of the drawer. Now I'll have a valid reason to still have them!

The tears I shed then, watered the flowers I harvest now.

None of my bras are worn out, because I hate them! I have a drawer full of ill fitting, pinch me in the ribs pretties. Now I know what to do with them! If anyone has a kind of bra they like, please do tell.

My brother-in-law once came out of my mother-in-laws bedroom with one of her bras tucked one cup within the other and wearing it like a cap with the straps tied under his chin! It was hilarious! She had LARGE boobs.

Diane, I always hate wearing bra's too but since I got older, saggier, and heavier the reality is I have to. It sounds like you have never had one fit for you. I learned from the internet and finally got bra's I love! Here's one link, or just google right size bra. Good luck!
(And Jeannie, that was hilarious, even if it was a year ago!)
