Helo, ladies!! I have a question about sewing with stretch poplin. I have an AMy Butler pattern that can be used with " light to mid weight fabric." It is called the Liverpool Tunic. SInce I have some stretch poplin I got for $1 a yard, I want to make one in that fabric first. It's a little bit of a fabric hungry pattern. Which way is the grain on stretch poplin? Any feedback would be very helpful! ~ Mary LD

The grain has the least stretch. Cross grain has the most stretch. Generally the straight is the same direction as the selvage edge. Be sure to use a needle for knits (ball point) or you could have skipped stitches.
Thanks, Sheri! Will I stitch with a regular straight stitch, or use the stitch setting that is meant for knits ? This is my year to expand my sewing skills beyond quilting cottons! MLD
