I'm official! Well, actually I have been for a couple of days now, but I'm just now posting! I'm sister #1473! YAY! I can't wait for my welcome packet and my Henrietta badge! Thanks to all of you who have welcomed me with open arms into the sisterhood and swaps. I finally feel like I can truly be myself. In the next few days I'll try to formally introduce myself in the Welcome Wagon thread! Now I better go clean this house or it is going to eat me alive.......

I know full well that joy is in the small things....

Welcome, Heather! I grew up north of Bolivar on a farm near Collins, Missouri. I have lived in Kansas since 1981. I belong to a farmgirl chapter called "Scattered Prairie Gals" and we do have a henhouse. We are mostly from Missouri and Kansas but there are some from beyond. We hope to get together once or twice a year.

Girls I have been so busy the past couple of weeks, haven't had a whole lot of time to log on, so what a wonderful surprise it was to find so many warm welcome greetings waiting for me! Thank you so much girls! I already love being here, it is truly a sisterhood in every meaning. I could be on here all the time! Farmgirls hugs everyone! You just brightened my whole day and week!

Love,
your sister Heather Nicole

Hello Katherine, it is wonderful to meet you! I know exactly where Collins is located. I had attended Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri for a semester at one time, so I used to drive through Collins twice weekly on my way to and from Springfield. That whole area is a very beautiful scenic drive! Oh and I have been so busy lately I haven't had the time to check out the henhouses, so now I know where to find all you girls! Wooohooo! Have a wonderful week on the Kansas prairie, dodge the tornadoes, and stay safe! Hugs!
