Oh, Melody...sending prayers and good thoughts your way! I've been job searching for the last few months myself, so I know how frustrating and discouraging it can be...an interview is WONDERFUL! I'm excited for you! Good luck with the interview!! :)

I'm in!

I start next Thursday-I will be shadowing the cashier and doing some "ring" work, but my boss will be gearing me more to the business aspect of the auction company. I am very excited to finally have some sorely needed income coming in even though I will be part time which is perfectly fine by me. This is going to be very interesting!

Thank you girls for the prayers and good thoughts.

Whew! Employed again!

Thank you ladies! I am so excited-and relieved.

I have known the owner of the auction company for many, many years and after dropping a hint at her last auction that I would be very interested in working with her, I received a call from her office girl inviting me to an interview. I was hired before the interview ended. I know this is going to be rewarding and very interesting. What a complete turnaround; I have always worked in an office setting so this is going to be different!

Congratulations! It could be really interesting, along with the fact that its a paying job! I've been to a couple of local auctions lately and there's always something amazing to see. What kind of audtions do they handle?

Susan,
They handle mostly estate auctions. We have some lovely old lumbar baron homes in the area that are jammed packed with antiques!
