Ok. I have wanted chickens for as long as I can remember and honestly been reading and planning for about two years. By planning I mean wearing down my hubby. Anyhoo! I got the call today and picked my girls up shortly there after. I have spent several hours just watching them in amazement and they seem to being doing really well. No pasty booties. Everyone is eating and drinking. I posted the pics on my blog to share with my wonderful fellow farmgirls. Enjoy! I think chickens are just straight from God. They are so quirky and sweet and wonderful. Everytime I look at them I melt...maybe even more so than I do when I watch Sophia sleep!

i remember the joy when the first ones came. peeping and fuzzy and yellow. its like a new promise in a box. i still have my first egg. little bitty thing. i blew the egg out and put it in the hutch. then i kept my first $1.00 from my first dozen i sold. i was hooked. so happy for you. so fun for the little ones. love those chicks up they respond to it. happy days at your farm sherrye
