Hi Secret Sister, I received your gift today! I received a beautiful garden flag - it's so me w/birdhouses and flowers! Also got a note that you made me a scotty dog pin cushion (didn't receive that though)! But looking forwarding to getting it - sounds really cute. Also some stickers and a travel sticker and two sweet notes! Thank you so much - hope you are having a wonderful vacation, please be safe!

Hi Secret Sister, Boy am I  , I had forgoten all about the Scotty Dog pin cushion you made me! I was in my sewing room, sewing and went to my closet, and there was my cute little pin cushion from you! Guess I had a major Senior Moment! Please forgive me for not remembering. He really is cute and I'm using him as of this moment! LOL!!!

June 22 is just 2 days away! Nows the time to reveal yourselves to your secret sister via e-mail or mail or by sending a final gift with your name enclosed!
We will take a rest for a couple of weeks and I will start sign ups for the 7th round of secret sisters around July 6 or so after the holiday of the 4th!
Look for the sign ups to be posted under the "Swaps" section of the forum as that is where it belongs not in the "barter" section!
I will look up and contact other ladies whom have expressed interest in the secret sisters to see if they want to join! |

I am probably going to have to drop out as I don't know what the flooding situation will be for the next month. In 2008 we were out of the house for 19 days & everything was packed in the back of a semi-couldn't find much of anything. Sorry ladies-I'll be back.

Karla-Are you having flooding issues now? I live in Papillion, Ne. (right outside of Omaha) and I have heard there is some flooding in North Omaha. It is fine so far where I am in Papillion. I am so sorry to hear you could have flooding issues and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep up us posted if you can.

Thanks but yes we live in a right to flood zone just down from Lake Red Rock outside of Pella. Right now they are holding at 40,000 but they are waiting to see how much more rain we get. Rain is forecasted for everyday. I have pictures of my garden on the floods thread?! I am hoping it doesn't cause my garden is doing great this year!

Karla-Look at page 4, Sue talks about revealing ourselves after June 22. I sure hope you don't experience any flooding and you get to enjoy your garden. I have never been in a flood but I can see how devastating they can be.

I just opened a smile! That is the only way I can describe the reveal package I just got from Treelady/Julie. As soon as I pulled the tape and opened the box all I could do was smile. The most heavenly strawberry scent bursted out of the box. This is her strawberry season and she filled it with all kinds of strawberry stuff. Syrup, jam, tea, soap, pinkeeps, hand towel, recipes, even a tote that folds down into a puffy red strawberry. WOW! I love it. You have been a wonderful secret sister. Thank you so much. And to answer your question...I make it a point not to look at the post marks so when I got your package today it was a total surprise. Stay in touch. Prayers, Victoria

For the sisters who have been following me. We left home on May 13. We are now in the Yukon in the City of Whitehorse. It has been different being a SS and on the road. So for now I will step back some. We do not plan to be home before July 15th. You gals take care talk to you all soon. Lilly
