Hi ladies! I had such fun adventures in Washington D.C., and I just couldn't wait to get on here and tell you all! To start off, we went almost everywhere! We went to a lot of the monuments, memorials, and museums. If I had to choose a favorite, I would say that the Holocaust Museum touched me the most. There were so many things that made you think in there. Mount Vernon was by far the prettiest site we saw. It overlooked the Potomac River, and the sun was shining on the water just the right way. If you guys have any questions about specifics, go right ahead and ask! Just wanted to give you an overview of what I did! God's Blessings, Megan aka Loretta Rae

Oh Grace! It is so beautiful! You can walk throught the house, and it is so big. The dining room is acutually where George Washington made some of his big decisions as a war general. It was so amazing, because when you think of it, that's where our lives started. Our lives of freedom started there. So cool! God's Blessings, Megan aka Loretta Rae

Meg, sounds like an awesome trip! You are right, that is where our freedoms started.

I'm glad you guys got to visit Mt. Vernon. People don't always get out that way when visiting DC. My hubby and I used to live and work near Mt. Vernon and we would take our oldest don there for picnics when he was a baby. It truly is a beautiful place and I loved learning all about the gardens. So glad you had a good time, Megan!

I have always wanted to go to Mt Vernon. My boys know it as the place the president got kidnapped (National Treasure 2, they know it's a movie!)
It's all good!

Michelle, we actually got to see a lot of places where they shot the movie. We also got to see the NCIS place. My friend loves that show, and she almost bought a hat with NCIS on it at the Navy museum! I had such a good time, and I'm glad I got to share it with you. God's Blessings, Megan aka Loretta Rae
