On my Etsy today I listed a new bunch of dandelion jelly. The kids and I are so glad it is dandelion season again. I know most folks hate them but we sure love Dandelion jelly. (my youngest son says it is like "sunshine in a jar". I love that!!

Thats exactly how I would describe it..very much like honey. I made two more batches yesterday...we have a good supply of fresh dandelions here this spring!

Jenny have a question about dandelion jelly on the recipe you cut the yellow part off with scissors poured hot water over them for about 1 hour. Then the question I have do you strean the liqud , or do you keep the yellow flower in with the liquid when you add all the other stuff. Hope you will answer soon, because I just got a batch in hot water now.
Help first time ever doing anything like this.

Yes Debra...do strain it..I am sorry I didn't make that clear! I use a small fine mesh strainer with handle and that works great. I answered about the re-cooking in the other post..but will here too...I don't usually re-process things that don't set up. I would call it dandelion syrup and make another batch...but some folks do re-process. To me it makes things taste over cooked. Dandelion syrup is good! (guess how I know this???) Don't give up!
