Have any of you read the Ringing Cedar Series? I had heard about it from an online interview a year or so go with the Russian to English translator of the book,Leonid Sharashkin. There are 9 books total in the series, after the first book "Anastasia" I was hooked, it kind of out there, but I really enjoyed the series. I've been thinking I should re-read the series and enjoy it again. Here is a link on the series... http://www.ringingcedars.com/ "The Ringing Cedars Series, published by Ringing Cedars Press, is a nine-book collection by Siberian trader Vladimir Megré that chronicles the life of Anastasia, a mysteriously powerful woman who has inspired millions of readers worldwide to cast away their old lifestyles in pursuit of a purer existence." I'm sure there are others who would enjoy it. Karen

I have heard of the series but was weary of the hype. I heard about them from the raw food movement, and being of Russian decent they interested me. But do you think Anastaia ever exisited or is it just fiction. I have heard they are out there also, so before I buy the books I wanted to hear a little more feedback. People say just reading these books changes your life. Karen what do you think, worth the money (no library around here would carry them). Jane

I can't say the series changed my life, but it made me think about a lot of things differently. I would spend the money for the first book, that's what I did and enjoyed it so much I would order 2 at a time and when I started the 2nd book I'd order again (couldn't do the full amount at one time). Will your library order thru the inter-library system? Might be a good way to start if you can. I honestly hadn't heard about the series before I listen to the interview and then it was almost a year later before I ordered the first book. It was a great winter read for me. I have since seen the websites about the "movement" I'm not that type of person. Karen
