Last night I made the cutest apron...I found some fabric on clearance with little farm animals and sayings all over it. The apron is full with a yoke, another added piece on the bottom and sides...ah, sides....I had it all put together with yards of bias trim in place and modeled it for my husband. His response? "Did you mean to make it upside down?" The front is fine but you have to stand on your head to read the sides! Oh, well, it's still cute and it will give my brothers something to talk about at family gatherings! They still pick on their little sister even tho she's almost 60 and they're well into their seventies!!!

Debbie: Cute! Show us a picture of the apron. At least you can sew a whole apron. That is one of my goals. LOL. Marly

...this way when you look at your apron (while wearing) "You" can see it as it should be! giggles Debbie, wonderful job of making it!

I love your apron. And it looks great even with the fabric going in a different direction. Nice job!

Tell people its so you can see it right side when you look down! I used t make watch necklaces and the watch face was upside down to everyone who looked at it, but when the wearer looked down or picked it up it was the right view for them! |

Debbie, I would just say that after cutting out the front pieces, you had to turn the pattern upside down to fit the fabric left. That's probably what happened anyway...... |

Actually, what I think happened is my husband decided to chit chat while I was cutting out the pattern and I got distracted! I really have to concentrate when I do any kind of cutting or measuring! Thanks for all the compliments! I have a piece of an old dresser scarf with some embroidery and lace on it that I'm going to somehow incorporate into my next apron..probably for the pocket so I have to find just the perfect fabric for the main apron!

Debbie, What a hoot! I can sew but am definitely not an expert seamstress like my mom and sister. Sounds like something I would do. It is a darling apron, I am making a apron right now, hope it turns out! Blessings
