Mine smells of homemade bread and venison stew on the woodstove (chilly day here in Michigan)My boys always loved the smell of the kitchen. I can still remember what my grandmas kitchen smelled like. What does yours smell like today?

Sourdough starter and tuna from lunch. Sourdough good, tuna...not so much. Taking the garbage out now.

I love my house when I'm baking. I made 3 loaves of bread, lemon thyme shortbread, granola and the 2 jellies yesterday. It was great. Rainy day so I bake.

Right now it smells like tacos:) Sometimes it smells like my grandma's though - a combination of spices and coffee grounds sitting in the compost jar with some fresh baked bread thrown in. I inherited one of grandma's aprons and took it to her funeral in November to lay out with her recipe book - when I packed it back up I put my face in it and it still smelled like her kitchen, even though she hadn't lived in that house for 17 years. It's funny how tied to memory your sense of smell is.

Banana bread with a mixture of pasta sauce and herbs. And some teenage boys aftershave... yuck. =)

Angie - I totally had to laugh at that - my son went out the other night and the whole house smelled soooo bad from his body spray, I keep trying to tell him that is not what girls are looking for but what does mom know? At least he is clean....
