How many live in Texas? And does anyone live up in the panhandle? I live in Dalhart and was wondering if there were any other farmgirls close. Give me a holler! |

I think there might be some up there. All my relatives live in Panhandle and Amarillo and my kids in Denton but I am not sure about farmgirls. I have been relocated to Houston. Good luck finding someone.

i live in north texas, between paris and sherman, kinda in the middle of nowhere. as you texas gals know that is still a far piece form the panhandle. beth, i grew up in galveston county, but spent a good 10 years in denton at twu, and now my daughter also goes to twu and lives in denton. i really loved denton, and sometimes wish i still lived there, although it has really grown. nieke, i would love to know more about the panhandle and what kind of farming/ranching goes on there. glad you have joined us here at this site, it is a great place.

There's a lot of ranching up here. It's dry and I swear the wind blows none stop. They also have a lot of dairies and feed lots. (nasty) The weather can be strange here. Some years we get a lot of snow and rain, like this year and sometimes it's as dry as can be. My garden usual suffers a lot because of the wind, but we make do with what we can get out of it. I really have enjoyed being able to talk to others who share the same passions as I do. Thanks for everything. |

I'm in the Hill Country, near Austin. I also wish someone lived near me- We are planning a Texas Farmgirls Campout for the fall of 2010, which is posted in Outpost. It's also linked to Rene's list of Farmgirl Gatherings which I think is on Gathered Up. Y'all join us! We are still picking an exact date- ~ Mary LD

I am up in El Paso, looking to hook up with some farmgirls!
And I have one question - how do we find out where the chapters are?

Frannie,
We have lived in Leonard for about 3 1/2 years now. We lived in Van Alstyne for five years before that and we're originally from Ohio. But, we have found our little piece of heaven about six miles outside Leonard. Hope you have a blessed Sunday! Time to get moving for church

Welcome Jessica. I would love some day to get together with my fellow Texas Farmgirls. Maybe we could get something in the works?
