My late hubby used to brag that his wife (me), could shoot the butt fuzz off a gnat, at a hundred paces. I love target shooting.

Trap is kinda fun, isn't it? I don't shoot trap, but have been known to shoot just one time when the guys get the clay thrower out. I always make sure I hit so I can keep my 100% percentage and "anger" my son who questions "How's she do that everytime???" as I strut back up to the house. It makes it so worth it.
Great picture!

Penny, that is cute what you said about angering your son. :) My seven year old was out with me one time when I was shooting clay pigeons and he said "Wow, mom! You shoot just as good as those people on the tv!" I thought that was a pretty good compliment coming from a little boy who lives and breathes the outdoor hunting channel on TV.
Looks good, Rene! Post some more pics!!

Great photo Rene`. Is this a hobby of your'n? I always thought trap shooting looked like fun.
Our farmgirl chapter is having a 'shoot out' at the end of the month. A friend's husband is a 'Gunny' and he's going to help us with chapter II of our gun safety project. I'll take pics and post to my blog. It'll be a 'Guns & Aprons' deal :o) shery

Oh yeah! I have found another thread on this forum that confirms that I am not alone in this great big world! I've owned a revolver for years and love to shoot - never have shot a poor, little, defenseless clay pigeon -but love making those "outlaw" pop cans fly! And oh, paper plates watch out!!! You ladies rock!! And you know what..??... I'm discovering that I do too!
Love it here!
Blessings, staci FG# 973 :o )

I shot a rife as a teenager. So I can if I want but my dh shoots trap and I watch. His is also a very big hunter. He kills them, cleans them and brings them home (anything) I cook it and we both eat it. In some ways that is living off the land. You go Rene as much as you are able. Lilly

Ladies, have you ever attended "Women in the Outdoors" or "Becoming an Outdoors Woman" events. They are fun! that is where I learned to shoot firearms and archery. There are alot of outdoor skills you can learn. Every state has them. WITO is sponsored by National Wild Turkey Federation. BOW is sponsored by state wildlife and park agencies in most states. In Kansas,it is sponsored by Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. In Missouri, I believe it is called Missouri Conservation Office.
