Just a quick question since there is already a post on garlic...I was wondering can you plant garlic in the spring and still harvest a good crop?

I have never grown garlic before and would love to add that to my raised beds.

Thanks!

I just received some garlic from Jung Seed that was advertised as spring planting. I will put in the ground in the next few days.
I got 3 types & received 3 huge bulbs of each type. It was around $20.
Varieties are: Italian Late, Elephant, & California White.
I usually plant in the fall, but missed this past fall, so I am trying it in the spring. Hope it works! I had to buy some garlic this year, & hated that!

I LOVE garlic but have never grown it. I am putting some in soon but I don't think I will get a harvest this year.

I have planted in the spring and had success but I did plant in January because garlic likes cold. You will have enough of a harvest to plant again in the fall just make sure you have a cool dry place to store. I braid my tops together and hang them up and it works fine.

Give thanks to yourself everyday for all the wonderful things you do!
