Lukas took some pictures
2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 EasterEggers.
Tanna
Here are some new pictures from today. They went out to the coop for the first time to enjoy the pretty weather. This is where they will spend their time when I am not there to supervise their free-range time. We have too many raccoons, fox, bobcats, etc...

Very cute. I don't think my outside cats would allow me to have such a cute thing. Marly

I am having so much fun with them. I spend entirely too much time watching them and listening to their chirps. When they were outside today I stuck a little bit of chickweed through the wire. The Buff, LULU, grabbed it up. Then the Easter Egger, Ostara, grabbed it from LuLu's beak. Ostara started running around and the other chicks were running after her chirping. It was too funny. They all got some in the end of course.
Sarah, my husband would appreciate your comment! He didn't want the girls to begin with now he loves them and enjoyed building the coop with out plans and all from reclaimed lumber. It was the kids playset a few years ago.

Tanna, I can completely relate. I begged my DH for a year to build me a chicken tractor. He's very good at building things but he didn't want to do it. Anyway, now that we finally have the chicken tractor and chickens to go in it, he is fine with them. In fact, I caught him PETTING one of the chickens the other day! HA!!!

It's too cold for them at night so they are in a brooder in the house ( a large dog kennel with a heat lamp). Every morning I hear DH chirping at them and talking to them. It's too cute. This morning he was talking to them about their water and how they drank it all. Then I heard him cleaning out their waterer and filling it. The man who wanted nothing to do with them. They love him too. When he picks up the most active of them they will settle and fall asleep on him. Aren't men funny!
