My son Colton, ("Iggy" in my blog)used to be deathly afraid of chickens. Now check out what he's doing...

So wonderful, now Iggy knows that not all roos are bad chickens. What kind of chickens are you getting? Have you thought of bantams, they are usually very gentle and quick to become pets. Also, those tiny eggs, fried up fit perfectly on a biscuit. My Hubby calls 'em "biscuit eggs" so we keep 6 or so bantams with our other chickens (mixed breeds, Hubby likes lots of color in his flock)for those "biscuit eggs"

When you free your mind your heart can fly. Farmgirl # 714,

Amy, that rooster is so handsome! I love the picture of the roo sitting contently on Iggy's leg. It shows the trust of both of them in each other.....so cool.

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt."

Amy, that is too cute! They do grow up and get over things more than we think they can. That's great. Nothing like his very own pet roo to change his way of thinking. I love the picture of him sleeping on Colton'e leg.

They look quite comfortable together. Cute couple!

Forget buns of steel, I'd rather have buns of cinnamon!

Kind of like they were made for each other .

Now that's a sweet bird who is probably grateful for his new home!
