Anyone know how to get that musty smell out of old magazines---I just found some from the '60's....

Thanks!

Carefully shake each one out, (make sure theres no silverfish),put in a plastic tub with lid or plastic trash bag that can be tied closed, adds a bowl of baking soda, and a chunk of charcoal, the kid used in fish tank filters. Move around the order of the mag pile everyday and in about a week, they should be fresh.

I just read today that you can put them in the freezer for 24 hrs and that should do it. Dunno...worth a try.

The freezer makes sense because it would kill any molds that are in there [that would explain any musty smells].
