Gal friends, my sweet sister-in-law in Illinois is having trouble with her tomato garden every year lately....the tomatoes have mold on them........what ideas do you have for her....she does not have it on the other vegetables. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

water from the bottom only, and only in the early morn, use straw for moisture retention

Unfortunately, once it gets started it's hard to stop! From what I understand, the best preventative is to rotate your crops. Mold spores can overwinter in the soil. Watering from the bottom only is also a good preventative, like badmamawolf said.
