OK...I'm so jealous of all of you cute farmgirls with your cute little farmgirl names like MaryJane and SadieMae and AnnaBeth and BillySue and I've decided I need a farmgirl name of my own (hence my putting this post in "A Farm of my Own" - what's a farm without a farmgirl name?). So, be kind and make it cute, but someone give me a name that will be my official farmgirl name. I will add it to my signature so I can be cute like all the other real farmgirls. Anyone else wish they had a farmgirl name?

Siobhan, it's okay! I don't have a farmgirl name. At least, to me, Megan doesn't sound farm to me. But here are my suggestions for you: Georgia Ann, Riley Rae, and Sadie Jean. I think my farmgirl name will be Mary Beth:)

My middle name is actually Anne. I thought about Kerry Anne after I last posted. My mom use to call me Kerry Anne when I was little, and more often called me her "Carebear" which is where my farmgirl name comes from. I need to add the "Anne" now.

Siobhan, isnt there a song with the name "Liza Jane", I cant place it?

oh I need one too!!! My goats name was SadieMae until I found out that Mae means bitter. Can you believe it? Its such a cute name. Any ideas for me??

Siobhan, I had to laugh about making sure Lizza Jane was a good girl...made me think of this; Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere!
I never thought of a farmgirl name, is this to be uesd as an alias? Therese isn't very farmgirl like. :(

Yeah, Therese, like an alias :) I thought it would be fun. I think I might even add my farmgirl name to my sisterhood badge. I just like the thought of a farmgirl double first name and mine is already growing on me :)

Channah...just have to correct you on the meaning of Mae...it only means "bitter" in Hebrew. There are other meanings of Mae out there...which is why I named my daughter, Violet Mae. It also means kinswoman and goddess of Spring growth (May).
