I have to do a burnpile to get rid of all the tall weeds today, bleah. I hate burnpiles but the dump is 45 miles away and we have at least two truckloads of thistle type weeds and that is just not a good use of resources so I have to burn them so I can plant a garden that doesn't consist of 6 foot tall weeds. Not my favorite way to spend a beautiful Sunday, sigh.....

Hey,
The good thing about this Amy Grace is you're making a good addition to fertilizer!

I envy you being able to get at the your garden....I have been itching to get out to my raised garden beds these last couple of days as the weather has been unseasonably warm, but I have held back as they are calling for snow this weekend----I did notice poking around this afternoon a few clusters of green and upon further inspection discovered "snowdrops" stretching and reaching for some sun! Made me smile!!

I love seeing the snowdrops - ours our blooming right now, they've been going for a couple weeks now.
To update - it was breezy on Monday so I did not burn, I am hoping to get it done tomorrow. And yes, it does make a good addition to the soil, as long as I remember not to plant my potatoes near where the burn pile is:)
