It's a long story, but, basically, I've made a "pet" out of one of the steers we have! I'd love to make him some treats, and I need some help! He likes carrots, but not celery. I have a book of horse treats from when I had horses, but, I'm not sure if those are safe to feed him!

He's a great steer-I can brush him, lay on him, feed him by hand-when my DH was sorting cattle, this steer just stayed right by him and didn't move. He used to be timid, like the rest of them, but, now whenever I come out to the pasture I just call and he comes running! It's so adorable to see this huge steer hurrying up to get brushed and cuddled on!

Starbucks and sushi to green fried tomatoes and corn pudding-I wouldn't change it for the world.

How precious! Just watch out if he wants to jump in your lap....ouch.

I would think that any basic treat...oats, other grains, molasses, would be fine. I'll have to go look up my pet recipes.

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt."

I was going to say apples, too. Mine LOVE them and will do anything for them. I just cut them up and stuff them in their mouths!

hahaha! I have a horsey treat book, like I said, but, I'll go to the grocery store today and get some apples for him. He IS my baby. ;)
