Cindy in Michigan -
Thanks for letting me know that you received your mail art. I had loads of fun making it! The leaves on my maple tree are starting to turn and were a great inspiration for this month's mail art. Enjoy...

Terri Holland: your mailart was put in the mail yesterday. Although this will spoil the surprise, it was suggested that we post pics when we send it as well as when we receive it, so here goes:

Enjoy. Regards,

I put my mail art out in the mail box with 3 cards and put the flag up. I heard the mail man at the box and the door open and shut. So I went and checked and the flag was still up and all the mail still where I had put it. That's strange. I am going to call the PO and ask them to call him and see why he didn't take the mail. The mail art is in the big manilla envelpoe with 3 stamps on it. All the cards have stamps too. So now I guess it will be another day before mine goes out.

Monica...from GA, Just a suggestion for the future. You are right CJ did recommend we post our own
Mail-Art if our recipient doesn't know how to use Photobucket (or one of the other Photo Loaders) but
I would let my person post first after she has received your Art...so, that it is a surprise to her when she
gets it. Then if she hasn't posted a picture of it...I am sure she would be Happy Happy Happy for you to.
I find myself in that same situation right now. I liked how My Mail Art turned out and in my excitement...
I would have loved to post the picture...but thought, "Hey, that will ruin it for my Farmgirl". Does that
make sense? Not trying to sound preachy here...just a suggestion for all Mail Artists. Your Thumbnail size picture probably won't ruin it for your gal...because I could hardly tell what it was and I am sure it didn't do justice to the beautiful job you did on it. The colors look gorgeous from what I could see. Hope I didn't hurt your feelings...wasn't trying to at all. Please believe that!

Blessings,
~peggy

Peggy: thanks for the suggestion. I thought it over a long time, but knowing me and how I'm not very good at following-up, I decided to just do it now (and get it over with?). No, I'm not offended in the least. Actually, you're right; it's hard to tell what it is from the photo, but I'm sure the anticipation was somewhat spoiled for my gal. Sorry Terri! :(
I won't do it again.

Hi Monica
No problem on my end with you posting it. I am now even more excited about receiving it as it is rather small on your post, but it still looks like a fun and beautiful creation!!! Can't wait to see it in person and I will post a picture when I get it and maybe I can get the features more clarified so everyone will enjoy it.
THANK YOU
Terri

I received the most exquisite mail art yesterday from Sharon in Washington (bobbinrobin). It is so beautiful--a true work of art--tea stained paper and lace with poetry and dried flowers and a button and art on two sides of the card! Well, Sharon, I have an art history degree, I love to garden and sew, and I am a true romantic (my husband says I was born in the wrong century), so your mail art really speaks to me. I am determined to master Photobucket this weekend to post pictures of all the beautiful mail art I have received. Dianne in the Hudson Valley, NY

Sharon, Please post the pictures! By the time I master Photobucket (or anything on the computer, for that matter), we could both have a Ph.D in art! Dianne

Whoever has my name, if you can do the pictures, you should. Because I will never be able to do it.

I did get my mail picked up. I calle dthe PO and he called my mail man and he came back and got the mail. That's just strange why he didn't pick it up in the first place. I hope it makes it to NJ ok now. I usually go to the PO and they weigh the envelopes. But this one was very light. So I put 3 stamps on it.

I mailed my Mail Art yesterday to Pat in Michigan, and I grew up in Michigan! It is a small small world after all. I am so excited about getting my first card.
