That is so cute. I was actually thinking of doing something like that.

Can I make a suggestion? Can we have a "theme" month once in awhile? And if someone doesn't think they could do that certain thing, they wouldn't have to. I just thought that would be interesting to see what we could come up with. What do ya'll think about that? I just love the apron cards. Just a thought.

Hey Kris,
I think a theme month would be great!! I know that some artists already have SEPTEMBER art either made or plans made so let's go for OCTOBER for a theme month.

Of course DECEMBER should be Christmas.

Any ideas on a theme for OCTOBER . . so we can start planning ahead??
Hmmmmmmmm . . .let's see . . .

THANKS!
CJ

How about Harvest Moon? • Full Harvest Moon – October This is the full Moon that occurs closest to the autumn equinox. In two years out of three, the Harvest Moon comes in September, but in some years it occurs in October. At the peak of harvest, farmers can work late into the night by the light of this Moon. Usually the full Moon rises an average of 50 minutes later each night, but for the few nights around the Harvest Moon, the Moon seems to rise at nearly the same time each night: just 25 to 30 minutes later across the U.S., and only 10 to 20 minutes later for much of Canada and Europe. Corn, pumpkins, squash, beans, and wild rice the chief Indian staples are now ready for gathering.

How beautiful a day can be when kindness touches it. -G. Elliston

I love the harvest moon idea. I am not all that into Halloween myself. But do like the harvest part. Pumpkins and corn shocks and hay and all that fun farm stuff.

Same here Kristin-if someone wants to do Halloween, go for it, but I would lean toward the harvest moon theme. Sounds like fun!!

I am all for a Theme month but don't want to get so specific that it takes the fun out
of the creativity. I think we should just say September/Something Fall, Oct/Something Harvest Nov./Something
Thanksgiving Dec./Something Christmas...that way it leaves it more open for Artistic Interpretation and
doesn't box us in. My thoughts only! I will go with the majority.

Blessings,
~Peggy

I'm kinda thinking it would be a nice suggestion if you need ideas....but I'm thinking if you assign it, that some people may not feel like participating because it may be too restricting for them...art work is free flowing.....

I have to agree with Peggy and Monica. I did ATC's for awhile but there is always a theme and limitations, that is why I was so drawn to the Mail Art on here. Much more freedom and so much fun to get, always a surprise:) I like Peggy's idea of a general theme per month, that way it leaves some freedom and creativity to flow. However I will be happy to do what everyone else decides.

If we go with a theme for a couple months out of the year, I would like it to be a more general theme as well. I never know what I am going to create-til I just "do it" lol
I loved reading about the harvest moon in october-thank you
