Hey CJ.......Your FYI distressed me a bit. I can't even imagine a farmgirl being so disrespectful as to use someone elses mail art. It's an absolutely apalling idea! Just my opinion! Me? Not perfect but the thought someone would do that never crossed my mind! I'm so sorry you even felt the need to address the situation.

My best to all,
Mel

I got one, I got one!!!! My mailart came from Lisa aka Elkaye and it is just adorable. She worked her little heart out...isn't it cute? Thanks so very much Lisa, and I loved the long note you wrote inside! Just beautifully done!

Received a cute apron card from Robin (in Glendale, AZ). I've only been a member of this swap for 3 months and absolutely love the art work that I have received.

Hi! I'm the one whose card got "stolen!" You can see it at the bottom of page 61/beginning of page 62. The unfortunate "recipient" was Sandi from Boise, ID (Humor Me), and the "borrower" is Kristen from Dahlonega, GA. I'm still recovering from the shock! This is too bad, because I'd just joined this group but now I'm turned off and will probably quit. Thanks for your support.

Dear Monica;
I feel like Im writing to myself...well, anyway, I hope You won't quit...it is very unfortunate that this happened, but I'm sure it won't happen again. These swaps are totally perfect, as I've found out, but you give and you get...and sometimes, you have an unfortunate circumstance, but then you have such a blessing of love that covers a multitude of sin....so, I hope you'll give it another shot and let us shower you with love and not give up just yet!
We love all our farmgirls, even when they make a mistake...Hugs to you and don't you Quit!

Oh Monica please don't quit!!! I have your lovely art you sent me last month & treasure it as it was my first one. Give it another go, I know there are ladies here who would love to receive & treasure your art. Maybe Kristen got confused somehow & thought it was like a round robin or something.

Hugs!!

Monica...(haydemon)...DON'T QUIT! This is one of the Most FUN FORUMS ON MJF. I am sorry that you had a bad
experience but they are very infrequent around here. Please try again as I am sure this won't be repeated
and you have a lot of talent to offer in this venue and to bless others with.

blessings & encouragement,

Monica, Haydemon, did you get the mail art I sent you yet? I mailed it Tuesday. You should have gotten it by now. And I am totally lost here. What happened? Or can I ask?

Just a thought... I'm thinkin' that most of us gals are doing our very best to support one another here @ MJF.
We are here for a wonderful reason.... Each other! I feel a kinship with all of the beautiful, creative, wise, & intelligent womenfolk
that are on this site. God Bless us, for we are but human, therefor cause to err. May we all receive "HIS" tender mercy's, & for myself much needed grace.
Ok, my brain is starting to go into over-load now, so I am climbing down from my soap box.
Thank you, & STILL excited to get my first name so I can create something just for her.
Just hope I can do her justice. *GRIN*.... will do my best!

Just for clarification on the "stolen" Mail Art issue.
It is NOT Kristin S. from Chickamauga, GA!!!!! She is worried about this being clear.
THANKS!

Monica, hang in there!!! There are lots of wonderful Farmgirl artist who love to share their original art work!! Hopefully this incident will be a one time thing! I happen to be quite proud of ALL of the mailart I have received and wouldn't part with any of them! :) They are all original and expressive of the Farmgirl Sister who spent her time, imagination and love for her Farmgirl Sisters she shares this swap with. Sometime things like this may come up and sometime some of us may not get a card for the month, for whatever reason. But all in all, this is a very fun swap with alot of dedicated mailart artist. Any disappointment, I think, is far out-weighed with the times that we go to the mailbox and find another piece of mailart that has been "artfully" made just for us!!
Many blessisngs,
Gail, Farmgirl Sister #61

I'm so glad you like it Gail - that was my first attempt at "sewing" anything onto a card. I love Marjolein Bastin's work and that was a note card that I couldn't resist. I loved the colors of the finches and the coneflowers and have seen that scene many times in my garden. I just wanted to highlight the beauty of her work and hoped to only add to it without overdoing.

Blessings, staci FG# 973

Staci.......Couldn't have hit it any better!! I love Marjolein Bastin also. She amazes me with how her birds and flowers could fly or be picked off of the page!! Another mailart for me to put on display!! May go in a scrapbook someday but it won't be any time soon!!!! Love looking at them!
