Hope I do this right :) Sorry it's taken so long to get Photobucket up and running !!!
Want to say a BIG thank you to Gloria Koegel (hope I'm reading the handwriting correctly :) She did an adorable card with eggs, peeps, baby birds and a woman lazing in the flowers (sigh...wish I were there). Thank you Gloria...it continues to put a smile on my face every day.

Hi Jonesy....so glad you like it !! The fabric on the front is all from vintage feed sacks. I also cleared a bulletin board in my sewing room for anything "farmgirl". Right now my membership certificate holds the place of honor along side my first mail art from Gloria.

Jean,
Received my wonderful mail art and love, love, love it!
It is quilted on both side, one side is an adorable patch work in happy flowers and animals, the other side hs the cutest miniture fabric pictures of what would be on feed bags, corn, chicken feed, clover seeds, rabbir rations and a seed packet. Then it is finished off with the tinest of stitches on the bias trim. Very cute and so terrifically creative. Perfect Farm Girl decor!
When my craft room is finished, I will have a bulletin board just for these great projects.
Thanks again,
Jonesy

Debbiebee, Have you looked at the direction from Gabe in Tech Support at the bottom of the forum? If you haven't, try that and see if you can make it work.
Then if that doesn't work for you or you still have problems, let me know and we'll go from there. Be sure to resize it so it's not too big.
Let me know . . . CJ

Here is the mail art Sandi sent to me. I am sure my pic. won't do it justice. It has an American Granola Recipe in the middle of her cool art work.

Peggy- I am so glad that you posted a photo of your art. I am working my way through the sizing maze on my computer and may some(exciting)day be able to post photos like the more computer literate farmgirls. Anyway, I'm glad that you did it - that gives me a month to figure things out...the pressure is off! :)

Sandi...I know what you mean. Now I just need to figure out how to not get the Url to show up all around the Photo. I spent hours last night just trying to figure out how to send the pictures however, so at that point I was just Happy to see an Image. LOL

CJ: How do I contact our tech support? I don't see anything at the bottom of this page. I was able to download (upload?) my pictures onto photobucket, but how do I post them to this forum? |

Some of you may have heard of the phenomenon of mail art.
Here's the link to the mailart that MJF has received: http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/MailArt/
We’ve been exchanging mail for six years now!! The range of masterpieces we’ve traded has been amazing…some arrive garnished in buttons, ribbon, photographs, etc. and some are simply a beautiful postcard from somewhere I’ve never ventured but love to know of.
Receiving real mail is such a thing of the past, but not around here! So for those of you who’d love to swap mail art with some like-minded people…
Let’s officially start ‘er back up!
The cool thing about mail art is that you don't have to think up one-liners to send to a complete stranger. And it's not as committed as a pen pal. All you have to do is decorate a post card (or scrap of cardboard and call it a postcard) or an envelope and send it off once a month. Found objects, bits of blurry photos you were going to toss when you purged your photo box, your best friend's favorite saying - the sky is the limit.
So...here's the info from ceejay48
So-o-o-o-o let's get started by: FIRST THING: post to the forum you wish to participate AND email me with your info including: - forum name - "real" name - complete mailing address
SECOND THING: get started on you first mail art project
We can get things rolling so that we can mail our first art project for the month of APRIL.
As described in Meg's post, you will mail to a DIFFERENT farmgirl each month. I will email you those names each month as we go.
Sign-ups will be perpetual - meaning you can "jump in" any time and get going for the next month.
Let's have some fun!! THANKS! CJ
A huge thanks to ceejay48 for coordinating this fabulous Mail Art! Have fun!
MaryJane's daughter, Meg

MAIL ART-ISTS . .
. . . Just to let you know that you CAN edit your photos in Photobucket. You can resize, etc.
. . . it is a GOOD idea to resize them so that they aren't too big, taking up a lot of cyber space on the forum.
. . . if you have questions about Photobucket or posting, please let me know.
THANKS you creative little farmgirls!! CJ
