I received my Mail Art from Staci yesterday! I love it! Thank you so much! It came at a perfect time, I was stressing over getting dinner done, and my daughter handed it to me, saying it was on the front porch, because it wouldn't fit in the mailbox. Dinner was promptly put on hold for a few minutes while we all oohhed and awwed.!! It was wrapped up in pink tissue paper and tied with a lavender ribbon. Did I say I love it?

Ladies your mail art is just beautiful!! Wonderful ideas!! I have one question. I always write a little something to go with the mail art. Should I write it in the mail art or on a separate paper? Just wondering if the mail art is given to the person to use again? Are you all writing in your mail art? |

TO ALL MAIL ART-ISTS . . .
To answer Toni's question . . I think we should write little notes to the person we are sending to . . makes it personal. But you can write separate notes or as part of the mail art. Personally, I write it as part of the mail art. I would hope that the recipient of my mail art wants to keep it . . .because I make it personal for them. I would hope that is the case with everyone!!!!
Hope that helps! CJ . . Coordinator/organizer

I agree with ya, CJ. I keep everything anyone makes for me. There's something extra special about handmade items- LOVE. To just know that someone was thinking of you and carving a little time out of thier day to do something special just for you. It's a blessing that can't truly be described with words. Some day my kids will have to sort through my belongings (mind you I hope this day is way off in the future) and they will find all of these treasures that have brought me so much joy. Sometimes I wonder what they will think. :)

I am right in there with you, Melanie and CJ. I make notes on the back and sometimes the front of my mail-art.......personalized just a little bit! I too am keeping all of my unique and special cards that were made especially for me. They brighten my day when I get them and the days to come because someone took time to make them just for me!! I do love sending the ones I make out to my Farmgirl Sisters! I share mine in a way though.......I love showing off my Farmgirl mail!!!! |

Thanx Marge (Cull) for my very nice mail art. Everyone, it is a called a mandala. New art to me. It's a 5" Diameter circle very colorful with a small 1" wooden heart stitched in the center on one side and lil yellow butterfly on the other. Then all around the outside of the circle is a 1" pique lace with lil pale colored leaves stitched on it. I would love to send a pic but I need to work on that one. Have to get a cable before I can get the pics to the computer and then into photobucket. Than may be next week. But it is really neat. Oh yea, before I forget, I enjoyed the tea which was sent along with.
My best to all, Mel

Shirley (Flower), I got your lovely mail art on Monday. How delightful! It practically screams, "Kentucky" with the running horses and flowers. I'll post a picture later this week to share it with the "girls". Thank you sooo much!!
Blessings, staci FG# 973 :o )

Therese, I'm so glad you like it. I love hanging things on my clothesline so thought I would tie that into my art and the butterflies are really starting to show up here - they are art all by themselves.
Blessings, staci FG# 973 :o )

Jean,
Received my wonderful mail art and love, love, love it!
It is quilted on both side, one side is an adorable patch work in happy flowers and animals, the other side hs the cutest miniture fabric pictures of what would be on feed bags, corn, chicken feed, clover seeds, rabbir rations and a seed packet. Then it is finished off with the tinest of stitches on the bias trim. Very cute and so terrifically creative. Perfect Farm Girl decor!
When my craft room is finished, I will have a bulletin board just for these great projects.
Thanks again,
Jonesy

I just had a "brilliant " (LOL) idea. I have a empty 36"x36" pic frame (used to be a pro framer) so I am going to make myself a French memo board. Then I'll have something to place all my farmgirl art onto. On my way to Walmart to pick-up a new stapler so I can make the board.
