I have gotten to go out to the horse barn two days in a row and it has been so nice to see my horse in the light of day again! LOL All winter we have been inside and under arena lighting which is good but it is so nice to see her running in the outdoor arena with the sun on her coat and he wind in her mane. I could just see her stretching and working the winter "kinks" out. If she were a plant I would have said she was drinking in the sun. I can't wait until the grass greens up and she can start grazing again! She will be so happy!

Where I work there is a field beside us with two horses and a donkey. Today they all seem to be enjoying the sunshine since it's been so cloudy this past winter. This day has spring written all over it!

It was soooo nice to see the sun this weekend and to see all the animals enjoy it. All of them at some point took a nap in the sun -- horses, goats, and even a few chickens. And now we can finally take the horse blankets off and let them have a good roll:)

Happy Spring!

We finally got sun here this past weekend and we rode Friday and Saturday. The horses are loving it. Even the old guys are running and kicking up their heels. Then you see them laid flat out in the pasture soaking up the sun. But, It rained again yesterday and is raining again today.

Alee: Happy to hear Tala enjoyed the outdoors. This past weekend, I mowed the yard, and when I let my Luck
Dog out he loved the fresh smell of the grass, and he took off running. He wanted to play, and he even took a sun tan!

It sounds like Luck Dog had lots of fun! I love watching kids and animals enjoy the sun. I had a banker call today and said he didn't understand it- he is usually energetic but today he was sleepy- on the one sunny day they get about once a month (Pacific coast washington). I told him I call that the cat-in-sun syndrome. You can sleep all you want but the second the sun comes out all you want to do is lie the sun like a cat and take a nap. He thought that was funny.
