I got RAOK'd. Thank you Anna. Oh my, your package was perfect. I love the fabric and I have been looking for some blues that I really like to include in my first quilt. I am in the process of making a quilt that will include 18 blocks that were hand embroideried by my grandmother over 30 years ago. The blocks had been lost for more than 20 years and I found them in my mother's attic last year. At least 3 of the fabrics that you sent me will be added to the quilt. Thank you so much. I'll send you a picture as soon as I get it completed. It will be late winter. I don't have a quilting frame yet. That is what I have asked for for Christmas. But I will send you a picture.

just fyi, I was having trouble with the Post Office and packages so I started putting delivery confirmation on my raoks. Not everyone posts about receiving and this way I know they got there.

Just went to the mail box and there were 2 surprises in in!
Thank you Theresa (atkinst2) from Ohio. I love the dish cloth britches! I will think of you when I use them. That's so sweet. Thanks again for thinking of me.
And then a beautiful little card from Mary Jo (gypsy goat). I love that. I am having a great day. It's beautiful outside. Not too hot with a nice breeze. I need to get out there out mow. I will soon. Thanks for thinking of me also. You are so nice to do that.
Ya'll, I am going to be doing some more RAOK soon. My DD is getting married in less than 2 weeks. So all my extra money is going for that. So please bear with me. I have things to send but will have to wait a few more weeks. Thank you all for being so kind.

Can you hear me squealing (w/ delight) way back there in Minnesota? I just fed the horses and walked out to the mailbox and there among junkmail and bills was a package . . . hmmm! So I bring it inside and open up what feels like a stocking from Santa - soooo many tiny treasures!!! Let me list them in order of appearance:
a stuffed heart made from an old quilt
a Mary Englebreit book of gardening
collection of old buttons
note cards of cherries w/ bright red envelopes
a vintage floral hankie in oranges & yellows
a card w/ classic illustration of fairies dancing a maypole
bottle caps :)
Take my breath away!

Glad that you liked the angel. I have fibromyalgia and when I was working I would wear an angel pin on my apron and everyone knew I was having one of those days. No words need be spoken they just knew.I really felt like the angel gave me some quidance. And love was show because of her. I had to quit work and that was the hardest thing I loved to work but sometimes the body is not so willing even if the mind is. Now when I have a flare up I can just stay in bed and no one bothers me.
Sometimes I have to have a good talk with myself I can get to where I have a pitty party for myself.
I love this web site cause there are so many other farm sisters to think about.It help me to realize that others are a lot worse off and I need to be thankful for all that I do have. Thanks again for the sweet piggies and the paper.

Oh I understand about being disconnected from people in real life, because of being who you are, but really we should be like that. You are not a freak for enjoying a simple life kindness makes the heart glow. quote:

I would like to thank Diana W. for her wonderful RAOK gift I received today. Diana and I were partners in the snowman ornament swap back in July, and well, life happened and Diana ran a little late getting my snowman to me. Well, today she graced my day and put a huge smile on my face with her lovely package, which included my snowman ornament, 2 lovely snowman potholders AND an awesome Christmas cookbook from church!
So a great big farmgirl Thank you to you Diana, you really made my day!
It was Christmas in August here in Patchogue!
