I am glad you ladies like the idea. I think it will be fun. I am a big fan of Goodwill and yard sales. And you know for those ladies that are not sewing their own I have found some really cool totes at both Goodwill and yard sales. Many have never been used.

I might follow Shirley Ann's lead, and make my tote early. I got ill and almost got behind on two swaps recently. I hope my future swap partner will like what I make. We can use fabric bought at the thrift store or recycled to us by someone, right??

Mary you can use any type of fabric you want. Got you in Nicola. Mary I start making my items as soon as I sign up for a swap. You never know what will happen and it makes you and your partner feel good when the item is received early in the swapping part. Most of the time your partner is not making any special requests and this is a creation of your soul, so there is no reason to wait. I think it is great that you are already working on your totes. I want this to be a 100% participation swap. I think everyone should be working on their totes and have them ready within a day or two of partner assignment. Sure does make it go smoother.

I will be on vacation and may not be here to post on April 5 about receiving the email right away. I have my tote completed and do want to participate so please no I will check here as soon as I can so my partner will not be left out.

That is fine Gail. If anyone else will not be able to make contact after sign up close date April 1 and by the April 5 let me know. However, please be sure and contact your partner by the partner contact date. I will try be very prompt about posting partners so that you will have ample time to make contact. I already wrote and let you know we would be out of town during the critical email interval. I May be back on the 5th, so it MAY not matter, but I just want you to know I've started my tote and I DO want to keep going in this swap!

Too funny, Victoria!! I absolutely love it and it always inspires me to go home and "get rid of" because I rarely come home from a "junking trip" without new treasures!! Ladies I have you in the signup. Lois I'd like to wait until signups close tomorrow and see how many we have before we do multiple partners. If there are enough that sign up I will then assign multiple partners to those that have requested to do so but I would like to limit it to 2. Lin I'm not sure 1 town could handle us. LOL. Hahaha! My goodwill doesn't know me by name yet. (They've only been open for a year) But they know my face. And it's funny how my bill never comes to what I have calculated in my head. It almost always seems to be less. I wonder if they have started a preferred customer discount program for the regulars but haven't told anyone yet. LOL
