I have been trying to find a cast iron kitchen sink with one large deep bowl and a drainboard to one side. I can find the drainboards on both sides but my cabin is too small to put in one that big. Does anyone have one out there? I found one on ebay but it is really expensive. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks! Nancy ( farmgirl #877 )

Hey, Nancy, I don't have a sink but noticed that you are from Ardmore. I used to live at Marietta but am back at Elmore City where I am originally from. Don't find many Southern Okie's on here. Just thought I would say "Hi"!

Nancy,
You might try craigslist for your area. Lots of stuff there. Or even freecycle.

Well, if you can take a road trip to IKEA, they have small-ish cast iron sinks at reasonable prices. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/departments/kitchen/10481

My brother has one, I think shipping would be a bit much, being from MI and all.

Here is another good bet... drive through the country & look in the pastures...that is where I have seen these dumped along side those claw foot tubs...seriously!

Can you tell me if your brother still has his sink? I have also been looking for one and I am in Michigan. Thanks so much.

I definitely don't want to suggest this, but at one time Lowes had a beautiful cast iron sink with a drainboard you could cover with a nice cutting board. I can check and see if we still have it, and see when it will be "phased out" as clearance and let you know :)

City-bound for now! Looking for my little piece of heaven...
