I have been crazy busy this past week sewing dolls for the children on our Christmas list. I used to make cloth dolls to sell wholesale to small shops as a way of making an income while staying home with my kids when they were little (the oldest ones) I also did child care..have always done that some. Anyway, my younger girls had never seen me making dolls and I decided I was ready to do it again on a smaller scale. I am having so much fun and already have gone overboard and made lots of them..more than I will need..it will be fun to make a few here and there and maybe do a craft show now and then and sell some. I love the creative part of it. The girls will get dolls to match their own haircolors and hobbies and the boys will get "sleeping buddies" dressed in pajamas. The babies will get small soft baby dolls dressed in flannel to cuddle with. I better get to the Christmas pajamas soon, though. I make matching jammies for the kids each year..they get to open them on Christmas eve. I found some adorable flannel to use this year that has a light green background and bacon and eggs all over it..really cute!! I will be making pajamas for 6 this year..my four still at home, my little grandaughter, who is 2, and our youngest son's birth sister (she is 15) who will spend Christmas with our family. I just love christmas!!

Hi Aunt Jenny! Now we know how/what's been going on with you! You've been super busy and sooooo creative, I see! Good for you!! Your dolls and sleeping buddies sound adorable. Can you post some pics for us, please?

I hope the whole transition thing with your newest son is going smoothly. It sounds like the family and extended family is coming together very nicely!

Good to hear from you again!

Thanks clare! Yes, the transition with our new little guy is going really really well. He has just fit right into the family without a hitch. He is doing really well at school too, and we all just love him like crazy already.
I feel so lucky to have been blessed with all these great kids!
Havn't found as much time to post lately, but I do try to at least read a few active topics each night..I will try to be "around" more. I sure enjoy you gals!!

I haven't been doing anything with dolls, but I do like to dress up some teddy bears! Sometimes I make the clothes, but other times I'll just buy something from Goodwill, etc. or at a sale.
Baby clothes work great for the larger teddies.

So glad to hear of another patron of Goodwill.... I too have found the best "stuff" there... AND, I'm glad your boys are still safe. Sending them lots of light and loving thoughts....
