I'm hoping for your help, Ladies! My mom gave us her antique iron bedstead for my daughter. I like the way it looks, with the paint in rough shape, the problem is that there is some rust also. My husbands thinks we might need to sandblast it or grind it. Can I remove the rust without redoing the whole thing?

Fine sandpaper should do it...... and a lot of elbow grease!
Good luck.

Use some fine sandpaper or even better some fine steel wool on the spots. Then you will need to seal it so the rust won't start again. It will take longer to do that way but it can be done.
