I ran out of glass cleaner one day, and our grocery store brand "organic" cleaner was on clearance. I was skeptical that it would work, but it was awesome. Of course, cleaners are so expensive, and now I am more and more becoming aware of chemicals in my home. SO... I thought I can do this, and came up with this recipe. For every cup of water, use 1 to 2 tablespoons of vinegar, and 1 teaspoon of dish detergent (handwash kind. Put in a spray bottle (got mine from the dollar store) and your glass, windows, and mirrors will shine with no streaks. I use it on my oven door, to clean my refrigerator, countertops, and my shower door with no streaks! My house has alot of glass, and my grocery bill has gone down because I no longer buy commercial glass or antibacterial kitchen cleaner. To be even more economical, use with newspaper to clean your windows. They shine up great with little effort, and no lint like when you use a paper towel! I hope y'all find this helpful, and I would love to hear more ideas on homemade non-toxic cleaners from my other Farmgirl Sisters!

Thanks, Toby. Don't know if I posted it in the right place, but oh well. New to this and still finding my way around.

My favorite scent/flavor is pumpkin anything, and my neigbor gave me some pumpkin dish soap this fall. Made some with that and it smelled HEAVENLY every time I used it. Otherwise, I use whatever dishsoap I have on hand but it always works well.
