Sometime in the last year I remember seeing a book and thinking, "Oooh, I've got to read that," and for the life of me, I can't remember the name or the author.
I think the cover was kind of faded / vintage looking, with maybe an old red pickup truck with chicks in the back, and I think the title was in cut-out looking letters (like cut out of a newspaper or something).
I thought I saw a write-up in MJF magazine or in Mother Earth News...I can't remember which.
Anybody have any ideas?

Was it "Made from Scratch?" Your description of the cover made me think of the book jacket...

Hi, there, Mary Beth!!! It's been a long time, hasn't it - I've been reading things, but not really posting - and I'm so happy to work my way back into the farmgirl life here!!!
The boys are growing like...WEEDS! Arthur is 3, and William is 6 now. Health, happy, and VERY muddy, usually.
Yes, Mona's daughter is doing well, too - she calved (stillborn - it was so sad) on December 2, and we've been a great milking team ever since. She and I sort of had to learn the ropes together, but now it's easy-peasy - most days.
Thank you so much for saying hello!!! I'll see ya' around here more!!!
XOXO, Libbie

Just for fun here is the link to the blog that the author to Made from Scratch writes :-)

Oh, I just got this out of the library today, and can't wait to start reading it tonight! Looks like a great read!
