My! I didn't realize so many of you ladies are multi-lingual! Alas, I only speak English although my DH tells me once in awhile I speak gibberish! LOL

I speak English, Army, and some Spanish. I took 8 years of Spanish and can barely get by. Luckily, we had a great teacher who taught us what is spoken in Mexico.

Oh, I can also do sign language. My best friend and I taught ourselves the basics in high school. Then we lived near the OK School for the Deaf and the kids there taught me all the dirty words.
My kids can speak Hawaiian. It's a beautiful language and come to find out they were cussing me and calling me names and I never even knew it.

Fun post. I speak English and Spanish. I don't know what language my DH speaks, but I'm not very fluent sometimes. :) Funny story about building a raised bed for the strawberries this weekend...(deep breath after 3 minutes of talking circles around each other trying to understand) ...I ended up drawing a diagram with measurements and telling him if he came close I would be happy with it.
Smiles work in almost any language.

I and my whole family are learning to sign. It's a total blast and we can talk across a crowded room without yelling.

I am learning Spanish so I can better converse with the growing Hispanic population in my small town. I work at the local hospital as a CNA (certified nursing assistant)so Spanish would really help me on the job.
