Savannah Cole, (Young Cultivator of Christy Harrill, #1951) has received a certificate of achievement in Stitching & Crafting for earning a beginner level All Buttoned Up badge!
"Savannah gathered 25 buttons to bring to our second Young Cultivator meeting in Louisville.
Every child should be able to dig through a pile of buttons. My fondest memories are of visiting my great, great aunt that was 100 yrs old. She had shoeboxes full of buttons. We would string buttons til our hearts content.
For our meeting, we spread out a quilt and we poured all the buttons that everyone had gathered together in the middle. The children gathered around and picked out their favorites to use in making a bracelet and practicing sewing onto fabric."

We used clear stretch cord from jewelry making supplies to give the bracelet stretch."
