I need to replenish my supply of window cleaner. Does anyone use ammonia? If so, what ratio to water do I need to use?

This might sound silly, but, do you use just plain old distilled white vinegar? How does it work on the glass/mirrors?

Just as an update, I made a bottle of this and I love it! The smell is a little off putting, but I think it works great!

I use about 1/2 cup vinegar and the rest water in an old windex spray bottle. I also put in some kind of essential oil, I like citrus. I use this for cleaning my windows, mirrors, countertops and stove. Vinegar is a good degreaser, as is the citrus. Vinegar also has some antimicrobial properties.

Hrm. I would think the EO would cause streaks. No?
