I have my Grandsweeties colds, and it is in my chest, I have been drinking a tea, that the "BUlk herb store" puts out, "Immune-E" it has all kinds of Immune builders in it, but, so far, nothing, usually when I get this, it goes into my lungs and I end up with bronchitis or pheumonia...ARGh!
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just brewed this for DH the other day. Handful of lemon balm (dehydrated this time of year), couple of T. of grated ginger, juice of 1 lemon, T honey in about 2 cups water. Simmer for about 20 minutes, strain into cup and enjoy. It's tasty, DH says it opens his head and sooths his throat. I suppose I could add a couple of garlic cloves, crushed, but I don't think he'd enjoy the taste as much!
I also highly recommend a Neti pot to clear the sinus and nasal passages. The only other recommendation is avoid small children at all cost, but for most of us it just isn't an option!

Terri, I hope you feel better soon. Here is what I take.
8 oz of V8
2 Tblsp of chopped garlic
2 Tblsp of Lemon juice
As much Tabasco as you can handle
Mix, heat, drink as warm as you can handle. Drink at least twice a day.
Also, a dropperfull of Echinacea twice a day and rub Vicks Mentholatum under your feet and go to bed with socks on.

| Hope you are feeling better today. I had a horrible cold a few weeks ago and missed 1 week of work which I never have before. My ears were in bad shape so I did the candle where you light it and put it in the ear. It felt so wonderful I thought I was in a spa. |
