I would like a good granola recipe. I have one but I am not satisfied with it. I would like to know if there is a trick to making it cluster better. I will use it more as a finger food rather than a breakfast cereal.

This is ours:
3/4 cup brown sugar 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1/3 cup honey 5 cups oatmeal 1 cup coconut 1/2 cup dry milk 3/4 tsp cinnamon pinch of salt
Mix brown sugar, oil, and honey in a saucepan. Heat until sugar is dissolved. Combine dry ingredients in cake pan. Pour sugar mixture over dry mixture and mix well. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes. Let cool in pan, store in air tight container. ** I stir in 1/2 cup of dried cranberries/craisins after baking.
We always used this one for snacking and not cereal. :)

I have used this one for 33 years: 4 cups rolled oats 1 cup coconut 1 cup chopped nuts 1 cup rye or bran 1 cup roasted soybeans 1 cup hulled sunflower seeds 1/2 cop warm honey 1/2 cup oil, your choice 1/2 tea vanilla Mix all the drys together and slowly add the wet ing. Mix well, I just use my fingers, and spread on an oiled cooky sheet.Bake at 350 20-30 minutes, I stir every ten minutes. Store in an air tight container. Enjoy!

I copied your too Amy. I love granola, when the kids were little I would grind it up in the blender and mix it with warm milk. I wish there was a way to cut the calories though!
