Ok girls I have a question for you all! I know exactly what I want to do for Jessie's tea towel, but am having problems finding one.... a blank one that is.... The problem is everything I am looking at when I look it up is showing dish towel size. But I thought tea towels were smaller? And, if so what size? Maybe I am thinking of those little guest hand towels, and tea towels are just regular size dish towels, but made out of a much nicer fabric?
Thanks for any help! :)

Hi Brenda ~ I tried finding out, by questioning on Yahoo, if tea towels and dish towels were two different sizes. The answers I got back were ... dishtowels are larger than tea towels and some said they are the same size. So I think its up to you as to the size. I always thought tea towels were smaller and the type you hung just for looks or as a guest towel (that nobody ever expected you to wipe on anyway). If you find out different, please let me know.

Hi Girls.
If you can believe it, I actually have time to get online at the hospital--Yay! :)
Generally the tea towels that I have done or a have seen done are 12X12 but also have been as big as 12X16. I have a couple that are regular dishtowel sized that I got when I was doing a tea towel swap before. Truly, it is up to you how big you'd like to make them. If you want to do something smaller like a guest towel or "fingertip" towel, just check it out with your partner.:D
Hope that helps.
Thinking of you all from L&D...
hugs,
Jessie

Hi Ladies :)
Just thought I'd pop in and see how the Happy Sewing/Crafting is going? Has anyone already gotten theirs? I hope everything is working out. Don't forget to let us all know when you receive your towel from your partner.:D Posting pictures is optional of course, but I sure would love to see them!! :)
Hope you all are having a wonderful time and lots of fun!
Big hugs
Jessie

One more tea towel. Just can't stop myself from embroidering farmgirl towels. If you need blanks, I still have some. Farm Friend price just $4 a pair (for blank 100% flour sack cotton towels) including shipping if you don't use paypal.

I received a beautiful Shamrock laden tea towel from Sharon today. So pretty with its delicate plaid and lace edging. It was accompanied by amazing notecards with different four leaf clover images. Sharon, did you do the photography yourself? So pretty!!
Thank you so much!

You are so welcome Jessie. No ... I did not take the photos. They spoke to me from cyberspace. This was such a fun swap. Thanx a bunch for setting this up for all of us.
