I sent everyone's buttons off this morning. Last night I suddenly had a reality check and decided I'd better stay up late to get them all packaged up and addressed so I could mail them BEFORE my 2 yo niece and 5 yo nephew arrive from VT for their two week visit!
Cheers! ~ Marilyn

Ok Ladies, having a button "issue" thought I would just post to vent. Went to the post office yesterday and had the envelopes weighed and checked by the clerk, she said it would be .64 cents each. Sooooo that what I put on them. Today I got 3 envelopes back. Linda, Barbara, and Robin from Washington. If any of you recieve your buttons from me, please let me know. I am so mad I phoned the post master and filed a complaint. Thesse have to weigh less then two ounces! and they want an additionial .58cents for a total of 1.22 each? This is nothing but a button injustice! LOL
Oh happy day! |

Yes Robin that has happened to me many times. When I did my first swap they were all sent back because they didn't have enough postage.. So now I put 2 stamps on. I am sorry you are having trouble.. I wish there was something I could do.. I will mail mine tomorrow or next week on Monday. Hugs, Channah

Robin,
Mine were all .64 cents each too but the guy at the post office said the extra postage was because they had to be hand sorted because of the "lumpiness?" of the envelopes. If they could have been run through the machine they would have just been regular postage. I don't understand why some were returned for even MORE postage though!

I sent all of mine for the last swap in a regular envelope with 2 stamps and wrote please hand cancel on each envelope and they all arrived in good shape. It does help to have the buttons attached to something so I sew them onto some cardstock to keep them secure. Mine should be ready to go next week. Will let you know when they are on the way.

Uh-oh - I only used one stamp though mine were a little lumpy - nobody said anything to me about it and I mailed them today....arrrrrgggggghhhh - let us see if they come back - I forgot to put handle-cancel on it too - it is my first time doing this - I thought about saying hand-cancel, but did so after I had sealed them all....boogers....I thought I was being such a smartie, too...if they come back I will sent them back out right away, in proper manner sorry :-( Kim

I received buttons from Lisa L and Bernadine C today. The buttons are beautiful! Thank you so much!
Unfortunately I also got a knock on the door from my mailman - he handed me a box with all 22 envelopes I mailed yesterday! I had tried bubble-wrap mailers after reading everyone's comments about regular envelopes and apparently that doesn't work either. He said the buttons are too thick and they don't go through the cancellation machine. The extra cost is for hand cancelling. Sooo......I will take a trip to the post office again on Monday. Good luck to the rest of you.....sounds like we are all going to be in for multiple surprises!
Cheers! ~ Marilyn

I received 4 envelopes with buttons today! From Candy C, Bernadine, Kim, and Marcy. They are wonderful..thank you so much! All arrived safe, some had holes in the envelopes, but the buttons were attached securely inside. Mine were mailed this morning so they are winging their way across the country..
