I love my breadmaker. I use it becuase I honestly barely have time to make bread that way let alone in the oven. It makes it easy for me to throw all the ingredients in and turn it on. The one problem I have though is that the pan it "bakes" in looks like it's coated in some sort of teflon. YUCK. Does anyone know of a breadmaker that does not have some sort of cancer causing pan? :) As soon as life slows down a little (like in 3 years from now) I'm sure I'll just do it in glass pans in the oven!

my daughter complained about the same thing, she also uses a bread maker. She called "Oster", and asked them if they made a non-teflon coated pan, they said NO, because if it didn't have teflon, you would never get it out of the pan. Which of course makes sense, so I guess you all will have to deal with teflon, or make bread the old fashioned way.
