Oh my little girl! She is so so very sick right now. My heart just aches for her. She has double bacterial pink eye, a raging ear infection in both ears, and a horrible sinus infection! She just got off a round of antibiotics not too long ago and now is right back on them again. Poor kid! I feel so bad for her. She is having a hard time sleeping because her eyes hurt so much!

Alee - I hope she feels better soon. My Stephany had the same problems when she was little. We finally had tubes put in her ears and she stopped having all the ear problems and sinus infections. I will be praying for Nora!

Aw I know that is heart wrenching for ya when your baby is weak all you want to do is comfort them. I will pray that she will get better soon and comfort for you all.

Alee, I hope Nora gets over this soon. Pink eye is horrible. Back when all 3 grands were littler they all had it. I got some Goldenseal powder and made a wash with it. I'd use paper towel and just drench each eye separately because you don't want to spread it all over. (And it's good to wear gloves, too, because it's so contageous.) It cleared it up in a few days. I know you probably have antibiotic drops but you can still wash her eyes with the goldenseal. It's very soothing also.
You're doing a good job. I'm sure you are tired too. It's hard to get rest when your child is so sick. That brings back lots of memories of when my Abby was little. She had ear infections all the time. Finally got tubes and it helped so much.
I'll be praying Nora gets well soon. And that you don't get the pink eye, too.

Thanks everyone. She usually doesn't get ear infections- she is coming up 3 years old and I think this is only like her 3rd one ever. And the other ones were mild. It's usually the sinus infections that get her. My mom and I are both very prone to sinus infections. I am contemplating going to see an ear/nose/throat person to see if there is anything they can do for me so I quit getting them all the time. I always say I would rather go through labor than have a sinus infection! Mine get so painful and they stick around for forever! So my heart is just so sad for Nora, knowing she probably has sinuses just like her mom and grandma!
She has slept through the night now so that is good. Hopefully she will get some good rest today with her daddy.

Poor Nora! Oh, that awful pinkeye! Did this all come at the same time? I know how hard it is because there is just so little you can do for them--wishing her poor little self well!

Hugs to you and your little one
Please keep up on the ear infections
I have lost most of my hearing in both ears due to ear infections and ear drums bursting
very painful and bleeding
Strange thing is I had them as a kid but not quite as bad as I did when I got to be an adult
I know they say weather doesn't have any thing to do with it; but
when it is cold and windy/ or just plain windy
be sure that Nora wears ear Muffs
Make sure they are snug against her little ears too.
I have to wear mine a lot even in warmer weather when the wind is blowing.
I get funny looks ; but it is better than my ear drums bursting !

LOL Yes- she wanted her hair up in a pony tail but wanted me to use BOTH the hair things she brought me so I did a high pony and then braided it and wrapped the braid around the base of te pony for braided bun. She kept touching the top knot and it made the little hairs start to poke out! LOL I am just glad she was feeling good enough to want to play! She really doesn't like her eye drops but I can see a huge improvement already- no more huge globs of gunk coming out.

Alee, I am so sorry to hear that Nora has all this! I know if I were you, I'd be in a fit over it. I get upset when my little baby-dog is sick so I can imagine when I have my own daughter. I'll be praying.

Nora is doing lots better today- thank you all for the well wishes. The medicines are doing their thing and her amazing body is doing its! Her eye lids are healing- the tissue is looking much more healthy at a peachish pink color instead of bloody red. The swelling around her eyes is down as well. Her nose is still running and she still has a cough but thankfully I can see an improvement there too! And even though it is a little too late we found our collodial silver too! I wish I could have found that for her eyes before now!
