I started inviting 8-10 quilt ladies to my house after that Holiday rush. It is my gift to them. I pull out the table clothes, china, candles...(all the things that are hidden in our cupboards waitng for that special day - Haha). They say "oh you shouldn't have gone through so much trouble". But they love it and so do I. This year I made the chicken pot pie from MJF new issue - Oh let me tell you the crust is to die for.... Eveyone wanted the recipe. Then of course I had to tell them about the magazine. Barbara

I am going to try that. I have some left over chicken I could use. I just don't have parsnips. Everything else but that. I'll try it anyway. I'm glad you had fun. I need to do that again. We used to have people over after churc but haven't in years. We're so far out now. I also used to do a Bible study at my home and we had lunch. It ws so fun to come up with good food to serve.

Oh my goodness! I wanted to make that this weekend. But I left my copy of the magazine at work Friday. I even went to Barnes and Noble yesterday to purchase another magazine. But they did not have any copies. They told me they were sold out. So,...This is my version, with out her recipe, that I made tonight. I really wanted those cream cheese biscuits. But I could not remember exactly how much cheese and butter to use. Here, I just took a photo of it before I but it in the oven. When it comes out I will take another.
Its about 6pm here. Dinner should be ready in less the 30 minutes. I hope its good. I should have posted a request on the fourm. I sure someone would have given it to me.

Here it is fresh out of the oven.
It was ok. MaryJanes would have been better. Question...What is the best way to store the left overs? And, do you think I could freeze a tray? I ask because I actually made two dishes. Its just me and my husband and sometimes I forget and make too much.

I really think that you could freeze the chicken pot pie. And just make the biscuits the day of serving. Warm the pot pie then add the baked biscuits on top when serving. Barbara

That looks so good. I love chicken pot pie. And turkey, too. I always seem to make way too much so I freeze mine and it's fine. Or else I take it to someone for their dinner.
