Howdy, Y'all!
An older friend gve me a bunch of sewing stuff, including a bunch of double knit polyester. What can be done with it? It seems reasonable to make tote bags out of some. I have a lot, if anyone plans to make Brady Bunch costumes, etc, LOL!

Mary- I wonder if you could make rag rugs out of it? Cut it in strips and braid?
I saw an adorable rag rug, oval in shape, with prairie points stitched around the top of the oval. The price? $65.00 and it was only about a 2' x 4' size!! I have never seen anything like it, but I think I could figure out how it is done.
Just an idea! :)

Call me crazy but I hate the stuff
My dear deceased gran used it to make quilts/ she was one to use it up ; wear it out; or do without !
I hate it !
especially for quilts and clothes
A little of the mixture with other fibers for clothes may be okay
but, I still love 100% cotton
I think that the totes and rag rugs would be fun to do .
They would last a long time I think hugs sheila

The only good thing I have to say about is that it doesnt rot or fade in the soon. It is great for patio pillows, curtains, blankets and kids toys or dog toys. I live in sun drenched Calif where the temps get 112 at times and it holds up real good. Tote bags for yard work is a good thing to make out of them. I even make covers for some of my old ugly pots that were on tbe patio.

Be good to yourself and be good to this earth.
