I am having my hernia surgery the 6th, and I'm a wee bit nervous. It is out patient at a small sugery center near here. My daughter is taking me and bringing me home. I think the worst thing is, that I will not be able to do much of anything for several weeks, which should make me COMPLETLY stir crazy. So keep good thoughts that I don't do anything stupid and end up un-doing what the DR fixed.

I do wish you the best of luck and praying for a speedy recovery. In the mean time will you have your son remove all the ladders from your reach. LOL

Teresa, I'm sure this will be very hard for you. No climbing ladders or hauling heavy buckets of water or lifting 50 pound feed sacks. Darn, what will you do with yourself? You will be stir crazy. But I'm sure you will follow doctors orders to a T, won't you? I will be praying for you. Most of all for the weeks after the surgery. You'll be fine.

Ok now , enough with the ladder jokes girls, LMAO. I do have lots of things to do that don't require lifting, that I normaly do in the winter, quilting, jewelry making, catching up on reading, etc, BUT, its knowing that I CAN'T, per Drs orders and I guess comman sense is what will make it hard. Any who, thank s for the good wishes and prayers.

You'll do fine...use it as an excuse to do those sit-down things and just PRETEND you can do the other things and that you're choosing not to (heehee)

Hey, I say "Any who" too!!!!!!!!!!!! Any who...who will be taking care of you after? I hope your daughter will be there to help you with things. I will pray for a speedy recovery to come your way. Take care of yourself, and please keep us posted. I'll be concerned until I hear that you are home and feeling good. Marly

Thanks for all the hugs (some of you hug too tight, but I can breath now, lol), prayers and good wishes. My daughter is taking/waiting/bringing me home, and is gonna stay a few days, after that, I have my Son, D-in-Law, 2 G/sons (who all live here) and several neighbors who will be standing guard so I can't get away with anything, lol. I'll be fine, just hate haveing to have a surgery that will probally be pointless some where down the road, lol.

Teresa, I'm so relieved you'll have the "surgery police" surrounding you, makes me feel better, and I won't mention the ladder thing either. You'll do fine....just do the sit down stuff you like to do, haven't been able to do, etc. and spend lots of time here. My hugs and prayers are heading your way!!

Hey Teresa, glad things went well yesterday with your surgery, and be sure to thank Lara for letting us know all was well. Was anxious to see if you'd posted here today, you'd better not be outside, mucking the barn out or anything of that sort!! Hope your inside where it's nice and warm with a hot cup of java, or tea and that your just "kickin' back"!! Take good care!!
