Hi Girls
Just put up my clothes line today, well Richard did, but I was right there. I'am really excited, its been a long time. I mean is it normal to get excited over a clothes line?
Anyway, anyone have a good pattern for a clothes pin bag. Aunt Jenny, I looked on your site didn't see one. Seen lots in magazines, what do you all think works the best?

There's one in MJ's book, isn't there? I've spent so much time memorizing the part about wall tents that I'm not as familiar with the stitchery chapter as I'd like. My copy is at school right now, so I can't look.

Hey Nancy..will be listing a cute clothespin apron tomorrow morning or late tonight maybe. I love the idea of a clothespin apron ...hands free.
I have seen the pattern in the MJ big book..cute one. Would be cute embroidered too..hmmm I should do a bag too..or three...haha
But for sure that apron will be listed next.

I DID IT, I MADE A CLOTHESPIN BAG. MJ,S book had a little dress made into one, so I took one of my grandaughters sun dresses, the kind that have the ties on the shoulder. This one had 4 buttons on the top front, not all the way down, so un buttoned it and turned each side under, that made the vee, Cut the dress off hemed the bottom, tied it to a wire hanger, bent the hanger top, put a hook on and put it on the line. TA DAH. i Keep runnig out to look at it, pretty cute. Now think what I could do if I could really sew?

Can't show you a picture, not picture computer savvy yet. But I got my idea from the MJ BOOK, so if you have the book, pictures of clothespin bags are on pages388-389, and other info on page 377. mine is not just like the one on page 388, but got my inspiration from it. All four of my little Granddaughters have worn the sundress its made out of, so that makes it special. Not to mention I'am not a very good sewer and it actually came out pretty cute.

I don't have a pattern but I found a cute tiny dress that had a liner. I sewed the bottom of the liner into a bag and hung it on a small pink hanger to match the dress.

I also found a vintage print pair of baby overalls that I was thinking of sewing at the bottom and giving away as a clothespin bag.

I need to get the book, hopefully I'll have a little extra money in a few weeks. (Once we figure out what to do for a 2nd vehicle since our minivan finally died.)

I just found this online. You have to buy the pattern but it looks like the old vintage bags.

You know....I just recently made one and recycled at the same time!

I used four things:
Thread
sewing machine
wire coat hanger
USPS used tyvec mailing pouch

I cut one end off of the tyvec and cut a hole in it on the side and one on the top for the hanger to come out through.
I sewed up the cut end, bent the hanger and slipped it in and voila....clothes pin hanger. And the best thing about it is the tyvec is water proof so your pins don't get gunky after they have been rained on a few times.
