Channah I had company all afternoon and eve. Can I check on my books and get to you tomorrow??
Or else I have to opt out this time due to the fact of a very small library and hardly any of these books are available. (as I told you in my PM to you already ;) ). Let me know oke??

I am here and ready to start!!! Looks like a wonderful list! How about some Christmas themed books to get us in the mood at the end of the list?

I am going to get the 1st two tonight and I am so excited, esp. since it sounds like we are going to be snowed in again for the next two days. Karen

Send some of that snow my way, Karen. We haven't had enough to do anything with. It falls; it melts. Bummer! I really want a snow-in!

I'm going to the library tonight to pick up the first one. My MIL just dropped off two fat paperbacks for my time off (the next few days following surgery tomorrow) and I won't be in need of reading material for a while. lol

Question - are we to read at a certain pace, meaning, do we read a few chapters and discuss them or should we read the whole book and then discuss it?

Sorry Kristen, I just now saw your question. We are going to read the whole book through and talk about them. Remember we are reading 2 books a month!!!!

Maggie I have read some of the books so can I join in at times? I am in the middle of one right now so probably won't catch up with you for the January ones.

Channah, thanks for the e-mail. Two books/month is fine. I will finish The Parting shortly. Possibly dumb question - how do we know when the "discussion" part will begin exactly?

I have a question. Is there anyone who is in the book club that has not been able to start the book yet? If everyone has started then we should be able to discuss it in about five days or so. What does everyone else think?

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
